Pros and cons of Packing (+TO DO!) app for iPhone and iPad

Packing (+TO DO!) app good for

Ive been using this app for a couple of years now, and I dont know what Id do without it. I keep several packing templates for all the different kinds of trips I take, which can be easily and quickly customized for the individual trips as they come up. I can go from zero to packed in about 20 minutes with this app, and I never feel like Im forgetting anything (and I never do forget anything!) So totally worth the money. Recommended for anyone and everyone.

I dont use many specific app lists - mostly all my organizing goes into a todo app. BUT "Packing" is so absolutely perfect. I have a dozen lists, templates for various kinds of trips allowing me to tailor my too much travelling into something manageable!

Very useful app! Improvement ideas: 1) to be able to see the photos without having to "open" the element 2) to have up & down arrows to be able to change the list order and then to prioritize elements.

Great application! It works without any problems, it has an extended item list and above all it is customizeable. Im working for more than 20 years with packing lists, but this way to prepare large trips is by far the most convinient one. Why "only" 4 stars? Well there must be one left for a kind of sorting function which hopefully will come in the near future. Are there any plans for a German version...?

I use this app on a regular basis and it has saved me tons of time. I have several lists that i use for certain types of trips (camping or hotel) or destinations (moms place or the cabin) I especially like the to-do list pre-departure. No more forgetting to turn down the heat or empty the garbage.

I find I keep coming back to this app, trip after trip. Trip packing is mostly about remembering all the small things. The developer keeps coming up with new features very regularly.

Some bad moments

You pay 99c for this app and you cant get anything done without buying "PRO"... What a waste of money and time!

Keeps crashing as soon as you open it! Please fix asap! i really like the app... When it works

After purchasing this application, I went into settings to simply change a color scheme. It tells me to do this, an additional purchase is required? Something as basic as changing the background color should be included if its paid for. IMO, well made Pro versions dont need to milk color schemes. It comes off as selling ice in Antarctica, and its why many apps get deleted..

Ive had this app for awhile. Back when it cost more than what it is now....WHY then do I have to pay AGAIN for features? Are they going to charge me another 4-5 dollars every few years? Doesnt seem right. Seems unethical to me.

It is difficult to figure out how to remove an item from a packing list

I used to love this app. I used it for several trips. Lots of great features. It synced between devices so my packing lists were up to date. Then something went wrong. My iCloud data somehow became unreadable. The synching process never stopped. No matter what I did I couldnt get my customized lists back. Tech support wasnt very helpful. If my in-app purchases could transfer to the pro app then I might consider buying that, but I no longer trust this developer. Now if I want to use this app I have to start over, which I did and iCloud still doesnt work.
